This wood-fired tea bowl has a slightly curved lip and bamboo-style foot, with a thick “ashy” surface that beared the brunt of the fire’s power. The “Komogai” form originated from Korea, and was infused into Japanese ceramic practices around the Momoyama period. This one features our “cresting wave in the well” as well as a unique tri-star scar. The pitted surface lives up to our company’s moniker: “rough wares.” Comfortably holds 90ml, though we recommend topping off at 60ml to save room for lingering sensations of gratitude. 5.8 x 8 x 8cm.
