This wood-fired tea bowl has a bamboo-style foot, with a variety of surfaces that undulate from the creamy nuka glaze to the natural ash glaze. The “Komogai” form originated from Korea, and was infused into Japanese ceramic practices around the Momoyama period. This one features an interior starry sky with the Milky Way. Comfortably holds 90ml, though we recommend topping off at 60ml to maintain your sense of balance. PLEASE NOTE: This glaze darkens and crazes without delay with each use. It is a natural outcome of your tea practice, and evidences inevitable forces of time and heat. Admittedly some love the aesthetic, and others less so. 5.5 x 7.5 x. 7.5cm
