This wood-fired tea bowl has a slightly curved lip and bamboo-style foot, with a variety of “wet-to-dry” surfaces that undulate from rough to glossy with a chattered texture. The “Komogai” form originated from Korea, and was infused into Japanese ceramic practices around the Momoyama period. This one features our “wave in the well,” and playfully exhibits a myriad of fire-marks from the firing. Comfortably holds 90ml, though we recommend topping off at 60ml to demonstrate your powers of restraint. 5.5 x 7.5 x. 7.5cm.
