This wood-fired tea bowl is one of our favorite forms: natsujawan, or summer tea bowl. Historically, they were conceived to allow your tea to cool down even during hot summer days, thanks to the wide surface area. This one features our “wave in the well,” and playfully exhibits a myriad of fire-marks from the firing. Very chromatic for those who love to inspect closely. Comfortably holds 80ml, though we recommend topping off at 60ml to prove to the world that you’re not that into excess. And for those into mathematics, the diameter of the mouth is twice the height, evoking all kinds of theories around beauty, numbers, and bird song. 5 x 10 x. 10cm.
